Building a self-hostable sync implementation

hi, on iOS (15>) when Logseq is asked where to store data, it has to be in a specific folder, even though permission is given to another folder through the phone settings.
But it does work fine with iCloud - which i could but do not want to use.

In terms of frame of mind, if iCloud is possible, i recon that linking Logseq with another opensource tool would be logical. These days, nextcloud seems a popular and safe solution, that could natively be integrated, or a simple webdav client, in order to allow simply synching between devices, including mobile phones.

let me share a thought: this app cannot really mobile since the specs, config and plugins are not mobile. these elements should be in the graph: 2 graphs, 2 different environments …
just a thought …

thank you I love the app, but so far, there is too many frictions to use it on a daily basis

A self-hosted official sync method is definitely needed, and is why I’m looking for an alternative to Obsidian.

For work and for home I need to be able to have 2-10 users who can all have the app open at the same time with some form of collaboration, but we really don’t, and quite honestly legally cannot (on the work side) have this data in a cloud we don’t control.

Maybe fossil scm + autohotkey can partly meet your requirement.
