Wanted to document this behavior.
When you delete a page, it is removed from the file directory, but it is still present in search.

Did you try re-indexing? (Via the downward-arrow menu at the top right.)

As Lucas mentions, a re-index should hopefully fix the issue. Hopefully as the app improves there will be no need to re-index to refresh the content.
