Node Refernces in the new DB Version

There seem to have been 2 different type

s of node references but one was only accessible via the mobile version of test.logseq.com and one via the desktop version.

The mobile version seems to have been updated to come in line with the desktop version.

I’m just checking if I’m right or just not using it correctly

This is the desktop version it works like the old Logseq with node references the same as block references worked.

Whereas the mobile version for a time didn’t work like that as far as I can see. When you use the ‘node reference’ command on an empty block it comes up with a block with an arrow pointed right that is effectively an embedded node. But you can’t actually edit the block it’s embedded into. It’s like it’s embedded an ‘object’ that’s differnent to the standard plain text block.

Here you can see both versions. The first one I can’t access anymore I don’t think.

Honestly I think both of these have their place myself. I’d love to have access to both versions but as far as I can tell the mobile version now comes in line with the desktop aka the orignal system.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me. Am I just going crazy!

I worked it out, one is a node embed and wanted to note reference. I have no idea how I confused the two. Maybe there was a bug where a node embed was created instead of a reference or maybe I was just being dim.
