Plugin Support for iOS & Android Apps

Plug-ins should be available on the mobile apps. I think this is important, it is frustrating to have a different experience on mobile than desktop.

I also agree with the one person that said something about plug-ins being part of the app. I think things like the outliner tool would be great to include in the app.

Themes would be nice as well. For example, I see there is a theme for e-paper displays…which I could use on my Boox Air3c, but it seems custom themes are not supported on mobile devices…bummer.

I completely agree! Plugin support for the mobile app would be a game-changer, especially for those of us who rely on plugins to enhance our markdown workflow. Having metadata and other plugin-generated content display correctly on iOS would make editing and viewing files much smoother. Right now, the inconsistency between desktop and mobile can be frustrating, and being able to use the same plugins across all platforms would significantly improve productivity. Hopefully, the developers consider adding this feature!

Plugin support has been added to Logseq DB in the browser (https://test.logseq.com) and is also coming to the mobile apps (which will get a refresh/redesign once the bulk of the work on Logseq DB has been done).

So this means no way to add a calendar event from my phone. I guess this reduces it to joplin and obsidian. Still logseq, obsidian and joplin all do not have notifications. What good is a calendar or a reminder if you can’t be notified (having to check the app to see notifications isn’t a notification in my opinion). At least in joplin and obsidian I can make a script on the server which constantly polls the markdown files and sends an email if a reminder or calendar event is an hour or day away. Calendar app, reminder app, alarm app, notes app - and I have to be the API which syncs them all, which I’ll refuse to do because I want software to serve me, not vice versa.

I suppose good news that it is coming but there’s no ETA as far as I can see. So many people ask for notifications on obsidian forum and they all get ignored for years by obsidian - I would think this would be a much more fundamental differentiator than adding AI.
