Spaces are automatically removed in a block, how to keep them?

I have a daily schedule template in my journal, which allows me to answer some questions. For exampmle
Highest priority of the week:
Highest priority of the day:

I tried adding a space after the colon, in order to not to have to do that each time when filling it in.
However, spaces are removed automatically. How can I prevent that?
