It’s now possible to reference office documents on the iPad - they get copied to the asset library and a [[quick capture]] entry is generated with a working link to the document. Clicking the link opens the share requester with which you can choose the app to open the document with. It’s not perfect, but it works.
The doc in the asset folder gets synced to the Mac without any changes but the filename in the link is converted to HTML notation, with %20 instead of spaces, and consequently fails to work. I don’t know why the translation from spaces to %20 happens, but it would be nice if that could be changed.
