to make the home view hutch cleaner
Is there any reason why we would want to store an empty journal file? Since we automatically create a new file each day, it stands to reason that we should delete these files if they’re not used.
To be more precise: auto-delete empty journal pages for dates in the past.
Yes, this would be a nice one to have.
Also those that might match the daily template without additional content.
Hi, any feedback from devs ? I’d like to make a PR for this
Technical reason why this is occuring: deleting journal pages which are empty. · logseq logseq · Discussion #7932 · GitHub
I think this can be marked as resolved.
I’m not sure when this feature was introduced, but my experience is that if a day’s journal page is not used, it is not saved (whether empty or populated with a template).
When I look at my journals folder, I see that you’re right, there’s no file kept for unused journal days.
I’d like there to be an option to hide past empty journal days in the journals view, though, so when I scroll down, I could only see days with entries in them
I think that is the default behavior? That’s how it is working for me at least
If you don’t “open” logseq you don’t get the new journal day, but if you “open” you get the empty journal day. Kinda like it as is, so I know when I was “here”. So, if this goes through keep it as an option setting.
That’s not how it works for me. I see day up on day of empty journal entries
