Better math experience

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Typing raw latex for math is not something very effective, especially when there is no realtime preview.

Describe the solution you’d like
Typora has a latex realtime preview, we could make something similar.

Describe alternatives you’ve considered
Even with a latex realtime preview, typing raw latex is still not a good experience. There are two possible solutions:

  1. Besides latex, also support AsciiMath mode, which is aiming for easy-to-write. http://asciimath.org/

  2. Another possible solution is MathQuill mode. https://github.com/mathquill/mathquill

https://guppy.js.org/site/ is also very good.
A plugin for math typesetting will be an awesome feature for sure.

There’s an easy work around if you want real time preview for math input in Logseq.

You can have a block reference to that block right beneath it and it would be your realtime preview.

Let’s say you want to write an equation in block A. Copy the reference to this block by Ctrl C, hit Enter and paste this block reference. This block now is the real time preview for block A.

I suggest a native and elegant support, like in Typora and obsidian.

Also worth mentioning: GitHub - AllanChain/logseq-live-math: Type LaTeX in live mode!

A better math experience would for sure bring a lot of STEM people over to Logseq. I think right now only Obsidian offers a nice experience in this regard. But Logseq graph / org-mode approach is better, only missing for us STEM people is the nicer math writing!
