Cannot run Logseq OG & Logseq (DB) “side by side”

After receiving the latest update, describing the divergence of “Logseq OG” from “Logseq” (formerly “Logseq DB”, I have attempted to install & run the new Logseq DB version on Mac OS.

Good news - I was able to install an app which calls itself “LogSeq” and which is apparently the current version of Logseq DB.

Bad News: I cannot run both the old (“Logseq OG”) version and the new (“Logseq DB”) version on my mac at the same time (“side by side”). If I load the old version, it runs as normal. If I then attempt to load the new version, it does not load, instead it opens the already-running version (LogSeq OG). If I instead first load the “Logseq DB” version, it does run the new version, but then clicking on the the old version only pops up the already-running (new) version. I know this sounds confusing and it is.

How can I separate the 2 versions, so I can run both of them at the same time?

What the exact version number of “Logseq DB” and “Logseq OG” you installed?

Running (on macOS Tahoe 26.5.1)

Logseq OG: 0.10.15

Logseq DB: 2.0.1-alpha+nightly.20260612

This is the dual version. It can work with both text files (MD) and databases but not at the same time. You have to uninstall it and then install OG version again.
