"Cmd/Ctrl+H" for adding highlights to selected text

Currently there is not hotkey combo for adding highlights, would be great to assign Cmd/Ctrl+H for adding highlights to selected text.

Also it would nice to be able to type in “^^” for selected text to add highlights.

Currently if you selected text and type in “^^”, the text would be replaced by “^^” instead of being highlighted

Isn’t there already …

Ctrl+Shift+H

PS: Wouldn’t Ctrl+H bring up one’s browsing history?

Its currently working, but only with default markdown highlight (without color highlight and no way highlight code block like in Notion)

Found this topic because I wanted the exact same thing. Typing ‘==‘ at the beginning and end of sections is tiresome.

Try control/command shift h
