Hi there! I use LogSeq for my personal notes for a good while now, and now i’m working on a intership at a local company.
After searching a bit i couldn’t find anything about needing a to commercial license of LogSeq for commercial use, but then i saw on the home page that LogSeq is “Free forever for personal use” and got a bit scared.
Is there a commercial license of LogSeq? If so, do i need it?
What this means is that you’re free to use logseq however you see fit until you start making changes to the underlying logseq code. If you do, and you make this modified code available to the public, you’re fine too. This is the essense of the *GPL licenses. AGPL is a little more restrictive but as long as you always publish changes you make to logseq code, you’re fine.
Other than that, you’re free to use it for whatever you like, including corporate data.
Even if logseq later decides to change the license and start charging for corporate use, they can only change the license from that future version and on, so you’d still be free to use the current version in eternity under the AGPL license.

So: It uses a AGPL license. Talk to your favorite LLM about the details of what that means.
