Consistent and Persistent Date

It would be appreciated if the /today, /tomorrow, /yesterday, and /Date picker commands consistently used the same format as /Scheduled and /Deadline to maintain block references, especially if the user decides to change the date format in :journal/page-title-format in the future.

Why is that so? Because the /Scheduled and /Deadline formats display the date in full, including the day of the week, rather than following the user’s specified format.

I think your opinion is correct. This is because it is possible to display days of the week etc. on the fly based on date information rather than a pre-processed date format.
In my opinion, the db version should be unified as date information, not in date format.
