Flashcards carry a lot of properties in them to help with spaced repetition. When making new cards from templates that have (intentionally or accidentally) been “learned,” the new cards carry the same properties, and so won’t show up because they’ve already been “learned.” These properties should be stripped when using the template feature on blocks containing cards.
