Dear All,
I have been trying to build my knowledgebase by using different tools. I used OneNote, orgmode, org-roam, vim and even notepad. Some guidelines I want to follow:
- I don’t want to get locked in proprietary software so I stopped using OneNote. Moreover, the sync feature does not work correctly sometimes. It just created hassle.
- I want to make the documentation text-based so that I am not vendor-locked and I can do version management with git and take my own backup. So I started using orgmode and org-roam in my personal Linux machine. Though I really like org-mode, I find org-roam hard to master.
- So I started with simple vim and plain markdown file. But management of files is hard.
- After searching, I found Obsidian and Logseq. I chose Logseq because it’s open source. Still I feel that I am not learning it properly. I need to master the fundamentals of Logseq and documenting in general.
I hope it would a great learning opportunity with others.
Cheers!
