Hello from down the Rabbit hole!

Hi there!
I’m an autistic person, living in Switzerland, who has been struggling over the years with organizing tasks, ideas and overall thoughts. In the past, I’ve been using various solutions and strategies to do so. I have been navigating from Microsoft OneNote (used in combination with Outlook, which made quite a powerful organizing and planing tool) to Obsidian, with exploration of EverNotes, QownNotes, Rednotes journal, Tagspaces, Zettlr, jtxboard, etc. and now Logseq. I’ve been using it for around 6 months, mostly as a dump for my overflowing brain. However, I have always tried to put some order in this chaos and I must say that I was first pretty successful at that with Microsoft tools (especially OneNote combined with Outlook), which helped a lot during my studies (I wrote thesis and papers, took class and conference notes, with it). Since I have given up Microsoft for Linux back in 2018, I have been searching for ways to replace this tool. I never found the equivalent. Now, I’m basically juggling between note taking apps and tasks management tools. To me, Logseq seems to be the place where I can manage my ideas, tasks, duties, activities, etc., before reporting the results into other apps, such as “tasks”, to synchronize between my devices through Thunderbird and Nextcloud. And I must say that I now don’t mind anymore not having everything in one place, because in case of a problem, I don’t have everything stuck in one locked place.

I’m also trying, as much as possible, rely on FLOSS (Free Open-Source Software), so I’m now using Ubuntu 24.10 and looking forward to install alternative androids on my mobile devices.

Because of my bad eyesight, I’m relying more and more on digital documents, especially books, as this makes it possible to resize fonts and interlines, so Logseq also plays an important role in my note taking from books and articles. I appreciate to have logseq on my tablet, which I can use with a digital pen.

Anyway, as my profile pic indicates, I’m always late, always running after the flying time and I hope Logseq can help catch up! In return, I’ll do my best to contribute to the community as well.

Oh yes, by the way, my mother tongue is French, I’m pretty fluent in English (when I’m not completely knocked out) and I can manage German.

I look forward to getting to know better this community and logseq!
