Hi, new user, with an interest in planning wildlife trips on logseq

  • Hi All, I’ve used Logseq for about a year now, mainly as a depository for notes previously held in Joplin, and also to plan and keep track of wildlife trips, which are my main hobby…
  • For wildlife trips, I can download the species I hope to see on a trip with the likely locations, then import into logseq as a long master todo list. If I go into any of the locations, I can see what I hope to see there. Once I see the species, it is ticked off in all the locations, which is useful as I may find some locations no longer worth visiting.
  • I also use the whiteboard as a picture format of the itinerary.

Interesting. I’m a Master Naturalist and just started using Logseq and Obsidian for my journaling rather than a field book. Since I can embed photos, I’d like to hear more about your process.

That’s about all to be honest!, the data goes into ebird for the long term. But the todo lists of species with page references to the sites they are found helps during the trip.
