How can I completely separate Logseq DB and Logseq OG? (Plugins, settings, etc.)

I recently tried Logseq DB, but I realized it doesn’t fit my main project (my personal wiki) very well. So I’ve decided to continue using Logseq OG for that project.

That said, I think Logseq DB looks excellent for task management, so I’d like to use it as a dedicated task manager.

However, it seems that Logseq OG and Logseq DB are not completely separated yet. At the very least, they appear to share plugin settings.

Currently, I have three versions on my Windows desktop:

  • Logseq (original installation)

  • Logseq DB (folder version)

  • Logseq OG

All three share the same plugins and plugin settings.

Since Logseq DB still has some plugin compatibility issues, I’d like to keep its plugins and settings completely separate from my Logseq OG setup.

Is there any way to achieve this?

For example, is it possible to make each installation use its own plugin directory and settings, instead of sharing the same global configuration?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The browser version of DB (test.logseq.com) uses a different settings file than the proper dedicated apps. You can install it as a webb app and that should mean you can use it offline.

Alternatively, you could isolate each version using Docker or Nix, but those can be a lot to learn.
