I am currently facing an issue when using Logseq. Whenever I perform a search on a subject and try to open a new page from the search results, the new page replaces the current page I am working on. This disrupts my workflow as I need to keep my current page open while exploring additional information.
Could anyone kindly advise on how to open a new page from search results without closing the page I am currently working on? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time and answer @mentaloid ;
Unfortunataly the shift + click that i had found previously in the forum and short cut open the page in the side bar
What i m searching for, if that exist of course, is the possibility to open directly a new page in the main view of the logseq app without closing the older one, to have mulitple page in the same time;
For now the only option that i found is to “pin” the current page with the red thumbtack before using the classic “search a a page” + “click” = open
In Logseq, you have the main window (between the left and right sidebar) which can only show one page at the time. Like mentaloid said, there might be a plugin that changes this (I’m not sure, I haven’t checked), but by default the main window can only show one page.
If you want to open multiple pages at once, the only built-in option is to use the right sidebar. That’s how Logseq is designed to be used: one main page in the middle, and one or multiple pages in the right hand sidebar.
The only other alternative is to open multiple Logseq windows (click File > New window in the uppermost menu on your screen, or use Ctrl + n or Cmd + n to open a new window). However, with this you cannot search in one window and open the page in another window.
