What I do is type slash and choose cloze, and block my text and then cut it and then paste it inside the cloze bracket.
Is there any easier way to do this?
in obsidian I could block the text and cmd+P to choose action.

I’m not aware of any native method, but you can try the Text Wrapper plug-in which should ship with a default setting for cloze that you can set a key binding for.
