How to show vertical layout slides in presentation mode

I would like to be able to create vertical slides in presentation mode. Is there a way to do this (Mac, M1-Monterry)?

Currently, the following outline will show each block in horizontal slides only, regardless of indentation. I would expect that indented blocks will show in a vertical layout.

- Slide one (horizontal)
    - Slide one.one (vertical)
    - Slide one.two (vertical)
- Slide Two (horizontal)
