I want to create a named link to today: [named-link]({{today}}). Is it not possible?

I have a macro → :today "<%today%>"
And want to put a link, at the end of a “quick capture” block, like so: [... back to journal]( {{today}} ) but this seems not possible, as it literally takes me to the page named “{{today}}”.

Is there a way to do this?

Update: I only managed by crating a new Macro:

:todayl "[$1]( <%today%> )"

and calling it with:

{{todayl ... back to Journal }}
