IDP.generic detected by avast in update.exe and installer

Hello,
tried to update to 0.8.8 on windows
but IDP.generic was detected by avast in update.exe and installer and put to quarantine

it’s a false positive. I think it’s detected by the avast heuristic engine which can trigger easily with newly published executables even if they are signed.

I don’t know how frequent avast updates signatures. Could stay that way for a while. In your case I would upload the logseq setup file you downloaded to virutotal. If you did download the right one it should show this result:
