Is it possible to add templates to current block?

I am trying to retroactively add properties to old notes using templates. Unfortunately when adding a template it automatically adds the template to a block below the current block regardless of where the cursor is. Additionally if you backspace to get that template on the intended block all properties are deleted. Is it possible to add templates containing properties to a specific block?

Welcome. Try this:

  • Go to the end of the old block and press Shift + Enter
  • Then press Delete to bring the new properties in.
  • Upon exit, the merging should be achieved.

Awesome thank you! I did not think of that! It still is more friction than simply inserting the template where the cursor is, but that is much better than my previous solution of copy/pasting.
