I have been traveling and just now lost all my notes and history on my main computer. My iphone seems to still have all the current notes. I fear losing everything on the iphone too. What can I do?

Okay they came back to my computer. After I opened my iphone, saw the data was still there, then closed the app on my iphone and re-opened on my laptop. And all the files appeared. Wow. While this decreases my heartrate considerably I’m still unsure what happened and why. How might one avoid this happening again? Where can one easily tune into where the actual files are located on each client, on our various devices?
