LaTex ampersand (&) vertical aligning support?

Hi, does LaTex in Logseq support the use of the ampersand (&) character for vertically aligning mutliline equations?

When I try it, I get :

ParseError: KaTex parse error: Expected 'EOF' , got '&' at position [...]

If it isn’t supported, is there a workaround?

Adding \begin{aligned} and \end{aligned} solved it!
