Logseq DB: Query that pulls a random page out of the journal (or, in general)

Hi everyone,

I have been working almost exclusively with the hosted web version of the DB branch, and I love everything about it, except the fact that my favorite plugins don’t work there. One of them is called Random Notes, and would allow me to easily jump back and forth across random pages (in search of inspiration, writer’s block, etc.)

Is there an easy way to recreate this with a query? I tried multiple approaches, but nothing has worked so far.

Even if it is a query that returns a table of randomly sorted journal pages, I’d still take it. It’s better than nothing for now.

You can try a simple query with the following to randomly give you two pages:

(and (tags [[Page]]) (sample 2))

For context, a page now has a tag #page which is [[page]] in the query.

You could do the same for #card as well

you must refresh the page where the query is located, to see the 2 new random pages.
