Hey everyone. I want to take a moment to thank Aryan Sawhney for the Logseq Find and Replace Plugin. It works well and saves me a ton of time.
After months of using Logseq, I have established many pages with their linked and unlinked references. But then, as I think of more things to add, I begin to see the need to rename some pages for better organization. This can be a monumental task if you have to change all the references manually, to preserve the links.
For example, last year I created a page named “Apple” for all my notes pertaining to all my Apple devices and all things related to the Apple ecosystem. After a while, I created another page named “Mac” for Apple computers. Both pages accumulated numerous references over time.
Then, it occurred to me that I wanted to rename these pages for better organization. Most of my “Apple” page and references were about the iPhone, and most of my “Mac” page and reference were about the MacBook.
That’s where the plugin came in handy. It found all the iterations of the specified word and replaced them with the new term in a matter of seconds. I could then easily create the “iPhone” and “MacBook” pages, and they automatically connected to all the linked and unlinked references. Awesome!
As a last step, I visited the “Apple” and “Mac” pages, transfered the notes I wanted to keep, and deleted the pages.
Again, thank you Aryan Sawhney, for creating such a useful plugin!
