Logseq MacOS and iOS app completely unresponsive

Hello,

I was working in Logseq on 9/8 when it became completely unresponsive. I don’t recall exactly what happened, but I did notice there was an app update on MacOS that I clicked on, but I am not sure if that was the cause or the issue happened prior and I thought updating would fix the unresponsiveness.

If i force restart the app, the journal loads but I can’t click into anything and the app is unresponsive. The iOS app is unresponsive too. Sometimes I can click around but then it goes unresponsive. I can click into different pages that have been edited recently, but Whenever I click into a specific file ‘scrimba.md’ everything goes unresponsive. This was the file I was working in when the app first had issues.

I also noticed there are files in icloud that aren’t in sync.

i have no clue what is going on. Can anyone help?

I was having similar problems where Logseq on my Mac and on my phone just wouldn’t work sometimes. Realized today that it was because of iCloud. Looking at my Logseq folder in iCloud I saw that it wasn’t downloaded to my Mac. I resolved this by disabling optimizing iCloud storage.

Go to System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud

Then make sure the Optimize Mac Storage setting is turned off. This will make sure your iCloud folder is always downloaded on your Mac.

You can do a similar thing in iOS, but just force the one folder to stay downloaded.

Open the Files app. Navigate to inside the Logseq folder. Click the down chevron at the top of the screen and click Keep Downloaded.

Hope that helps!
