Multiple instances / windows

This has been brough up before and is still a need that tabs does not solve at all. The ability to see multiple notes at the same time is important and used by me daily in my former note tool (OneNote).

This ability is especially useful / needed, when rewriting notes, or doing minutes, conclusion or plans from several other notes or meeting minuts.

LogSeq is an all ways great - this feature would make it much more versatil.

Not sure why it was closed, since it was not solved in the new case:

The following current options may fit your needs:

  • shift+click to open a page/block in the sidebar.
  • in your left sidebar, in your graph name, click New window

Because it was not clear to me on first reading etc gave two separate options above.

The second one is what i was looking for and i think the original poster was looking for (multiple instances in separate windows), which i will elaborate on here because i think it is terribly under-documented, * How to open a second window of Logseq:

  1. Press the graph name at the top of the left-hand column (where it has a pointed-down triangle helpfully indicating that it is a drop-down)
  2. At the very bottom of the list of options, press “New window”
  3. Wait for that window to open and load the same graph that you are in (it’s as slow as a cold start) and now you can change the graph in that window, it will leave your first window’s graph alone.
