Password protection for journal

I use the journal as a personal diary too. So I don’t want random people who can have access to my computer to simple open logseq and see my journals. So having a passward protected journal would be a good idea. Actually if the whole application is password protected would be good.

Like you have to enter a password see your journals. However this is different from logging in every time.

Upvoted, would be really nice to have it

I fully agree and add myself to this feature request

Hi, there are a couple of plugins that would be worth checking out:

GitHub - vipzhicheng/logseq-plugin-lock-screen: Add lock screen for Logseq and
GitHub - vipzhicheng/logseq-plugin-lock: Lock each Logseq block in even different password.

I included the GitHub link for ease, you can find the above in the Logseq Plugin Marketplace

Very nice work, thank you. But I guess this is not exactly what we want. Personally, I also want an encryption system, especially for the diary part. But it should be more convenient to use and compatible with sync.

I don’t think encryption is required. Just a simple password prompt. If someone knows how to access the files, that is fine. But from the UI we can have a simple password prompt when accessing a graph.

Yup

Would love something like this

A) great at overall app level, so just gaining access

B) would be wonderful to also apply a password at a parent page level to lock projects / journals

Totally appreciate that anyone who knows their way around the filesystem can access the raw files but not the same as getting in through the gui

Thanks

Another plugin, the one I use, is Logseq PrivacyMode:
