Quotes formatting

When I add a quote with <Quote it is formatted the org-mode way

#BEGIN_QUOTE
bla
more bla
#END_QUOTE

If I copy from something else (markdown) I would have

< bla
< more bla

Both are working fine.

Question: Is the org-mode way gotten by <Quote to be preferred or doesn’t it just matter?

Welcome.

  • If you only use Logseq, it doesn’t matter.
    • i.e. it’s a matter of preference
      • <Quote is easier to type
  • If you open your files in other editors, markdown is generally more supported.
    • Could still use some converter.
