Settings, date format, undo change

I didn’t read the info tool-tip (it should be a ! not an i) before changing the date-format. I mean, I didn’t think I needed to read an explanation of what date format does. So, only after I selected a new format did I learn a re-index would be required. So I immediately changed it back to what I believe was the default ‘mmm-do-yyyy’. There’s no indicator of what default was, so not 100% certain. This was yesterday. Today I go to the Journal, and I have (2) empty headers in which to start today’s Journal. The top entry reads “April 10th, 2025”, the 2nd empty journal header reads “Apr 10th, 2015”, which is also the format of all prior journal header dates. I looked in my ~/Logseq/journals/ folder: of course since I’ve not written any blocks, there is no .md file for today. I tried restarting the app, but issue persists. Oh, it’s worse than that: Calendar plugin now takes me to empty Journals for dates that exist with the default format.
Feedback: it would sure be nice if we could see the notice about re-indexing before our change is committed, and have an opportunity to cancel the change.
Anyway, any idea how to fix this? Do I need to re-index anyway? I’m a new user, with a full plate of regular work, I don’t really want to add breaking/fixing Logseq to my task list this week. Thanks so much.

think I solved it: Found Re-Index and did it. So far so good.
Was worried about ‘re-index’ making it worse, since really, I changed a setting for only a moment and reverted it back w/o creating even a single new block in between.
Really, at least, need to change the tool-tip for settings,date-format from an “i” to a “!
