Tags and pages vs. properties

Hi guys,

I am looking for the best way to tag my pages and notes.

Currently, I use tags (#value).
I could also use pages ([[value]])
or I can use properties (Property:: [[value]]).

I am not sure what is the upside of using the third option (properties). How is it different from tags and pages without the property::?
