Will multiple panes ever be possible in Logseq?

I know logseq has the right sidebar, but to someone used to unlimited configurable multipanes it’s quite limited.

Anyone knows of any plugin that does this? How likely is it that this will ever be possible in Logseq db?

That feature, combined with tabs, makes my workflow extremely efficient in Remnote. Would be great to have the same in Logseq.

As an example, here’s an early multipane implementation in Remnote: (from 3:44l)

“Tabs” plugin for the main panel.
You can open and stack multiple panes in the right sidebar

Yes, I know. I’d like to be able to freely resize and reposition the panels though.

This allows building a dashboard of sorts.

I had a working-if-ugly pure CSS implementation of the “sliding panes” concept that became more like resizable cards after the shadui overhaul. I have been meaning to polish it and get it working for DB, but time is money and I’m in debt :sob:

But yeah I do understand the need to see 3+ pages at once

The tabs plugin does not really provide that experience IMO.
I mean it’s better than nothing and I’m very grateful to the person who made it, but it really does not provide the level of convenience that an integrated implementation would provide:

  • the scroll location resets to the top of the page every time you switch tabs
  • you cannot see multiple tabs side by side

I think people are expecting at least these two features for what the call “multiple panes”

Yeah, I agree 100% with you.

From what I recall the devs are against splitting panes. Or at least were a few years ago. Maybe something has changed since.

I was hoping it could be achieved as a plugin, but not sure if this would be possible
